Ever since moving to North Dakota prior to the 2015 deer season, I have still managed to hunt a fair amount where I came from, that being in Minnesota. Every now again, for one reason or another, I make it back to my hometown in the Northeastern part of the state, and am able to hunt there, and I also have a few pieces of public land that I hunt located a bit closer to where I live now.
One thing that I love to have as a deer hunter is options. If I tag out in North Dakota, or if it's slow going, I can hop over to Minnesota and try my luck there. With that being said, this year it was slow going in my old home state, but I was fortunate enough to take a doe, and stock up on venison for the freezer. With that being said, here is a recap of how I fared in Minnesota in 2016. I hope you enjoy!
